Are prices being posted on the machines for sale this year?

Guessing that is a no or don't know? The reason I ask is a group of us attended 2 years ago and we enquired over pricing on a specific pin and we did it individually. The seller quoted different HIGHER prices as the day went on... I presume the seller did so maybe because of perceived inflated interest in the pinball? At any rate it was frustrating and disappointing. Ended up buying a NIB to avoid BS.

If the game is for sale, most people put the price on the game. Each game was given a card to let people know if it is for sale, trade or free play only. In your case the seller didn't use the card and was probably trying to see how much he could get for the game.

I would actually say that you should consider it a blessing that you so easily discovered the seller's obvious lack of ethics (as revealed to you by the escalating asking-price). Had you tried to purchase the game from the seller, you might have found yourself on the receiving end of more than just deceitful pricing, and perhaps had a very unpleasant experience.

As Geoff says, the norm at a show is for games that are for-sale to have a card on them with the asking price. Nothing to stop you from offering a lower price, or even trying to buy a game marked "not for sale!" It's a free country (more-or-less). Ethical sellers will accept anyone with cash-in-hand who meets their asking price, and no funny business with "Oh, I have another offer already: you'll have to pay more". If I hear that kind of talk, I just walk away!

Sounds like you were trying to buy a game from C & G Billiards. Ive tried to get a price for games he had listed for sale and got the same answer every time: " I'll have to ask my brother".

Josh my man. I admit to being slightly "pinballed out", but I think that is normal in my case. However, this does not preclude a strong show of support for your upcoming event, this being year six I believe. Quite the achievement indeed.

Player One Amusement Group (P1AG), or less formally, Michel and I will be there with the latest and newest pinball machines the industry will have "coughed up" by labor day weekend. There will also be a bunch of parts and supplies on site to feed the community. So let's live the summer as we prepare for this great event.

Maxed out at 10 machines, no more no less. Toujours a 10 machines, pas moins pas plus.
Une règle suivi guéri de tout. A rule respected can cure anything.

A philosophy of doing shall rule until the days when I can no longer "do" arrive. Because when I am too old to wipe my own ass, adjust an AX relay or relieve a woman friend from sighing, there will then only be memories to fill my time. So, the task at hand is to build a RRSP of occurrences to recall come hell or calm tides.

In real life I always preferred the exceptional qualities in any normal state of affairs. But alas, so many of us have suddenly become exceptional via a world wide web of self-promotion upheld by the new dumb that it has made the quest for something truly exceptional much more difficult to notice.

It would be a lot of fun to be able to play Bumper again. Maybe it will make another Ontario appearance? I'll bring a sock full of nickels.

I would love to attend and bring my 2 new games but with the show being on the Labour Day weekend, I'm up at the cottage. I hope everybody has fun because the Hawkesbury show was great and I'm going to be sad to be missing this one!
