Bowen Kerins says CC is the most over-rated pin ever.

Its popularity might be related to its rarity more than its fun factor.
If I had the money, I would wait for the eminent remake, assuming they will have to polish the code.

I think to really enjoy a CC you need the Continued (CCC) upgrade as otherwise the game is very shallow.

As for MB, it is currently one of my favorite bally/williams game ever..
I love the shots, the flow and particuliary the music and the callouts.
On the negative side, I would say the game might be a bit too repetitive and also a bit too much on the easy side.
I keep mine very steep and well waxed and it still kick my ass.

I would consider Attack from Mars, Monster Bash and Scared Stiff in the same category because they can be too easy and you can get bored quickly..but the theme is spectacular. MB and CC are not a good option if you only have one pin but definitely have their place in a diversified line-up or a big collection.

I've played Monster Bash a ton. Even had it on loan for a few months. It's a great game to play at someone's house or on location. Great theme, music and art, but game play gets old. Essentially you hit every shot x times to lite a monster, then shot that shot again x times to complete the monster. Throw in a MB or two and that's about it. For the money there are alot more fun games out there.

I've played CC many times and have to admit I really enjoy it. I haven't owned one, so I cann't speak to the longevity in a home setting. I really like playing it and will go out of my way to play it if I see it -- meaning I will line up at shows to play it.

Personally I think CC is a better game than MB, but I haven't seen the issues. I've read CC is unfinished. Perhaps CCC takes care of that?

I have CC, never owned MB.
I think CC is a great shooting game. The classic fan layout works very well, ramp shots (x3) are very satisfying as are the lock and bash shots at the mine and Bart respectively.
The humour is fantastic; on par or better than MM and AFM. It also happens to be a beautiful machine with a great art and sound package.
The one major flaw... it's too easy. Code could definitely have used a few more revisions... but they were just killing time until Pinball2K was ready.

The CCC code has made a huge difference of course and now, it can be considered a fully featured and relatively deep game; as compared to other BW titles of the era. The added modes and funny elements are great.

I;m a big fan of the Universal monster theme, but I still love CC as a pin.
