Picked myself up a little project DE Batman. Backglass is good, cab is fair, boards need some work. Playfield is the worst I've ever seen. Wish me luck!

I custom built drink holders for the Cobra Tavern on St-Laurent in MTL. No more beer spilled on the control panels. Lol.

And if you have never been there, check it out. Fun place. MK2, SF2 and Simpsons arcade on free play, and awesome beer selection, including Beau's Beers.

Yesterday we finally got around to building a loading ramp for the front of the house!

Moving machines will be soooo much easier from now on. May go out shopping later for a winch to install at the top of the basement stairs too. Gettin' old.

I saw a winch set up in use the other day and it was amazing. It was even more amazing when the winch cable dug into the hardwood and his wife did not murder him on the spot. Gives me hope for marriage :)

This weekend I repaired my pool pump. What does it have to do with pinball you say?
I broke a little plastic piece that I glued back with super glue.
Like an idiot I glued the tube to my finger and it would not come out.
That's when I remembered vid's advice on inserts: you can clean excess epoxy with acetone.
Lucky me, I had purchased a can at Canadian Tire for that purpose.
Worked like a charm. Who knew my newly acquired pinball knowledge would save my fingers?

Had a mild heart attack walking into the arcade to find Jungle Lord locked up. Panic set in when nothing would get it to boot. Until...

I bought a Stargate this weekend. When I turned it on last night, there was no power.
I cursed and groaned. I already have my F14 project. Another project is the last thing I wanted.
Turns out I was hit by the infamous bad vertical fuse holders used in Gottlieb's System 3.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic ... workaround
I glued the ring back together, reattached the ring and presto, my machine was alive again.
No soldering required. You see, I suck with a soldering iron.
I'm much better with crazy glue, except when this happens:

It's been three weeks! I guess everyone except me has gone fishin'.

Finally kicked Spectrum out of my basement, back to life again after what from first glance looked like a decade at the bottom of the sea. It's unfortunate that I didn't master the game but life comes at you fast and it really had to go.

Now I can focus again on my own next long-term project: getting all of the games out of my living room. Just kidding, it's a Stern Meteor overhaul and restoration. This meteor plays great but it needs some love. It's done the rounds here in Ottawa, from god knows where to Honey Badger, to cait001, to myself, to MCS, and back to myself. I've decided, foolishly, to make this a "really nice" one.

Thanks to cdnpinballer for selling me a really decent backglass to get things started. The next things to arrive are a decent playfield (en route from 3500km away) and a new coin door (sell me yours!).

Well, a week or so late, but spent some time with the fam at Sherkston Shores ... and a few minutes in the arcade. 8-)

Technically this was last night...

Started working on my Big Game I picked up last week. My first attempt at really working on a machine. I think its going great. Polished all the legs and side rails etc which look great.

cleaned the playfield with 99% rubbing alcohol and a Magic eraser. Going to attempt to touch up the playfield wear.

Might protect it with mylar as I'm still a little nervois about trying to clear coat.

Added some GI LEDs too.

I'm jealous. How I wish my F14 would turn out this good under the black paint, but all I got was sanded garbage on both sides. Count yourself lucky.

With Tombiosis' help, was able to finally get my lineup back in the games room and running again.
Feels so good to have that out of the way.
