Haven't done it yet, but today looks like a good day to wax playfields listening to the Zepplin box set I got from Dave W.
Pins: Spirit, Centaur II, Af-Tor, Embryon, Black Hole, Elektra, Stellar Wars, Timeline, Silverball Mania, Panthera, Baby Pac Man
Gone: Space Station, Top Score, Flash Gordon, Solar Fire, Haunted House, Fire (x2), Vector, Bally Playboy, Tropic Isle, Beat the Clock, Blue-Chip, Disco, Punk!, Lightning, Time Fantasy, 8 Ball Deluxe LE, Double Dragon
WTB: Black Knight, Fathom, Split Second, Nine Ball
Its better to have played and lost than never to have played at all.

Every day I strive to... ( DO SOMETHING! )
Do one thing. ( Sometimes, it is hard.)

Some days I... ( "DO" ) achieve it.
Others, not so much. It is life.

Which rivet setup did you get?
Bought the 3" yoke version from here: https://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/t ... ueezer.php

They only sell dies for solid rivets though. Have to get the tubular rivet die from somewhere else (I got it from https://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/category-s/413.htm)

Just finished to shopped my Midway - Total Carnage cabinet.

Finally done with this beauty !
Bought May 2018.
Slowly shopped since.
Took off old side decals and old black T-molding.
Replaced all old rusted screws by brand new shiny silver ones.
2 coats of black painting all around.
New marquee.
New yellow T-molding for the look.
Switched CRT for 24" LED screen .
Note that wife said the cabinet looks better as is without new side decals ! :-?
I am a real and proud 90s geek arcade gamer now !

Well, a Little blitz of organizing before heading to Newfoundland for the rest of the week. I set up a pin last night that hasn't been set up in 8 years. Needs some work, but I may still do it. I rather not sell it as-is. More on that one soon... it might stay, or might head out. Who knows.

The rest? Well, any long-term project goes into the storage unit for now. I want to clear out a basement bedroom that has been used as a pin-stash for a while now. And besides, there are some nice pins in there to set up... Time Fantasy... Future Spa... Sinbad... yup. Time to get those puppies going.

And tons of boards and parts strewn all ove rthe place that have to get organized in one spot. I got some old school lockers for peanuts, in which I am adding shelving. I will paint the lockers when the weather gets warmer. Not a fan of orange. LOL

Stay warm, and keep fixing!

I thought about pinball a lot from Sydney NS to St. Laz in the last 24 hours...Does that count?
Fixed pins on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Driving across the country currently to MB.
About 15 minutes away from Sparky's house currently, but have to keep moving west...

Well after more than 2 years of sitting in pieces - my Shadow lives again. I started to fully strip the upper playfield over 2 years ago to shop-it. Everything thing top-side was cleaned and all the metal guides put back and everything was re-rubbered but I was waiting on the new plastic set and once it (and a few other parts) arrived - I never seemed to find the time to put it all back together. Well this past weekend was the time - I had a rare free weekend and a few free nights to start the week so I got it all back together. Just fired it up and damn every single light and switch just fired right up - not a thing out of place - played my first game and flawless. Going to play me some Shadow now - been seriously missing that game. It feels good to get that done.

Now if only I could find some time to fix a few minor things on my TFTC - oh well, maybe in a few years.

While I had my Playfield Power Board out, I decided to check my fuses.
Sure enough, I found a 10A fuse where it should be 3A.
This is a friendly reminder to go check your fuses.

I screwed a toilet bowl.

...

Actually, to be more precise, Joblo has an Austin Powers pin on which the toilet bowl assembly was missing a couple of screws. The originals were 6-32 machine screws, but 1" long. I went with 1-1/4" to give the screw more thread length and give it more rigidity. All is now good in the world.

Now, on to repairing Tapper... Game was not working. Found some wire hacks. I will rebuild it all. Easy peasy.

Nice. In the last while: Fixed a different Austin Powers for a friend with suggestions from Menace on how to solve the problems. Done.
Fixed 5-6 minor issues on pins at the Pint and 5-6 minor issues on pins at Bluffs. Done. Couple trickier repairs upcoming that I will have to read up on first.

Cleaned tumbled and polished a bunch of BSD hardware. Tumbled the yellow colour right off the 3/8" sheet metal screws oops. Bought striped wire, sockets, translite trim and blood red flippers sinking even more money into this project! Waiting for a nice day to naphtha the playfield and see what I have to do to it.
