Re: What did you do today in the hobby?
I dug out 5 classics out of a basement. They had been there for over 35 years. Unmolested and other than a bit of coindoor corrosion due to cat pee, super nice.

Very nice! I don't think I've ever seen Mouse Trap or Lock'n'Chase. Played them a ton back in the day on home consoles. Colecovision had a great mouse trap and Intellivision had a great LNC.

Yes, they damage surfaces... by pissing on them. Hence the rust on the coindoors.

This is a fantastic description. Found one of ours in the front load washer. WTF? That can't be comfortable. I won't lie, I thought about starting it.

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?
Easiest way to resolve this "pet" issue: allergies...
Family as a whole are very allergic (Claritin doesn't cut it) to almost any live animal...therefore no pets in the house!
However, we had to "sacrifice" the backyard to make the residence's animal lovers happy...
At least we don't need to purchase eggs or fertilizer/manure...

Well, if a cat goes in my face, I have very little time left on this earth. It triggers my asthma BAD and causes my lungs to close up in seconds.frosken wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 2:44 pmEasiest way to resolve this "pet" issue: allergies...

Yes, I lived with a cat when I moved in with my then-future-wife for 2 years. Claritin didn't cut it, at all. I was on Aerius, and the cat was not allowed in the basement where our room was. So at least I had a bit of a break for my immune system. But... a side-effect of prolonged use of Aerius is back pain. So, I was also on Robaxacet for those 2 years.
It was wonderful.... All for having an animal that usually doesn't give two shits about you. LOL. And yeah, I can ear the cat people now... "a cat's love is earned"... fuck that. I have enough ungrateful kids in the house, I don't need to BUY another dependant that could not care less. LOL
