Yep... the 'good old days'.... I think it was 2005 or 2006 I picked up a working but rough Meteor for 300$ lol.

Hell of an undertaking, but why not.

Got the carpet through Astro Carpet Mills. They manufactured to our colour choices and shipped it up. Had to get a customs broker but it wasn't all that difficult. Ended up being under $2K including installation. It really makes the room!

Cutting down some packing blankets, sewing on trim, and seating some grommets. A few matching hooks discreetly installed in the wall and this awkward staircase won’t need its drywall repaired again. Hopefully.

Now that I am on break I can finally start setting up my Vewlix (Merci encore Phil!).

Installed stuff on both sides of the "shelf". PC power supply, amp, cab power supply, and HDMI switcher/audio extractor underneath the shelf. PC, harddrives, Nintendo Switch cradle on the top side. Nice and compact. Xbox is on the bottom shelf. Wired the cab green and red button (service switches) to the mobo as PC power and reset. 3D printer came in handy. Printed the dual HD holder.

I love my escalera forklift attachment. I was able to spend hours working on the cab at eye height instead of crawling on the garage floor.

PC works great with Hyperspin and 16Tb of emulated goodness. Tired of playing with a wireless keyboard so.....

Next is the control panel. Need to remove all the cheap hardware and install some lit buttons, spinner, mag-stik plus' from ultimarc, ipac, PACLED64. I have Sinden light guns on order too. When it's all done it will come downstairs into the gameroom. Seeburg juke out though. No more room.
