Installed most of the parts back on the Surf Champ playfield. Pretty much finished off reworking one of the broken plastics in paint.

Finally decided to do some things I had been meaning to get to. Couldn't make OPL yesterday, wife is working and no baby sitter, so I decided to work on the pins. Kids were happy, they got to play video games for a few hours without Dad telling them to clean up, let's go for a walk, etc.

So....

Finally got to setting the basement back up.
1. Set Elvis up, had to adjust a switch as the left flipper was weak. Adjusted, played, adjusted, got it right, got a nice score and remembered why this game is so awesome.

2. Set up 4 Million BC. Played a few games. Had stored it for a few months. Needs one switch adjusted, but otherwise plays great.

3. Fixed a switch on T3. Played a few games, now plays perfect.

4. Right flipper was weak on Funhouse. I had been considering selling it. Replaced the stopper and played a few games. Nope, not selling it. What a great game. I love when you get a Jackpot and Rudy goes apeshit. What an incredible toy!

5. Shadow was having some strange issues with the upper playfield. Played a few games and pocked around. Seems to be playing fine now.

6. Moved Slugfest and Hotshots, plugged them in and played a few games.

The basement is finally coming back. Next, shaker motor in Spiderman -- only had that since November :FP:, fix upper flipper on No Fear, trouble shoot STNG and then finally get to WCS. Oh and there's a Road Show to fix and Fireball is spitting out two balls -- probably just switch adjustments. I have too many games down right now  and limited time. Was really, really happy to get some time yesterday to fix a few minor issues.

Stripped & cleaned one of the dirtiest playfields I've ever seen. I have games twice as old that weren't this bad.

Apart from more touch-ups and such on High Speed and Mata Hari, I worked on Hyann's 60-in-1:

- built a new control panel which now includes a trackball
- reoriented the monitor inside the cab
- installed the board inside the cab
- rewired a couple of things

I just have to install a volume control on it and a perform a couple of minor adjustments.

Suppose to fix an Old Chicago in Brossard tonight after work, but the call got cancelled in the late afternoon so I called up a guy in St.Jean instead who has been waiting a while for an appointment. I was not geared or tooled up for an SS tonight but took the chance anyway and did the call.

Bally Skateball not booting after coming out of storage was the call. OK, let's go. Guy has it in his "man garage", no really, a seperate building in the form of a commercial garage (hydraulic lift in the ground) decorated in old pedal cars, Coca Cola signs etc., all sorts of models, this guy was definitely not looking to the future for any reassurance.

All voltages present at the test points on the supply, no flashes at all on the MPU led, just lit faintly and 3.89VDC at TP1 on the MPU. Solenoid driver board not regulating the 5vdc properly. No spare in the Honda since I didn't gear up for an SS call, another lesson learned, don't take on too much too fast, your luck will eventually run out and you'll waste time, one of the biggest crimes in my book.

Set most of pins back up!
Anyone who knows Terry knows that he's full of poo and likes to stir the pot. It's just part of his ironic personality and fits well with his asshole facade." -Cooke

A world without guys like Terry in it would probably be like the future world in Demolition Man. One filled with 47-year-old virgin men sitting around in their beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener". -Sparky

Continued working on the Minstrel Men. All moving parts are gummed and/or rusty so I need to deassemble most of them to make a good clean-up. Only the drop target to clean.

And start planning for 2 mames... this projets will finally come to life hopefully by the end of the year. I think I joined Maaca in 2007 because I wanted infos to build a Mame but got the pinball disease!
