Thanks! The BG is in fantastic shape. There are a couple of rub spots around a few of the display windows, but that’s it. According to the previous owner It’s been HUO since 1987, and stored indoors for the last 10 years.

Spur of the moment decision to drive two hours to look at a machine......good call, scored a Sonic Butterfly that only took a few seconds to get working for a very good price.
Won't be playable however until I give it some heavy duty cleaning...

I don't post here very often but I thought this would be a good time.

As most of you know, I have been working in the amusement business full time since 1985. This means it is and has been a full time job and not a hobby. That said, I have always had a strong love for the games and that is why I started doing this and why I still do it today. It is certainly not to get rich lol.

Anyway I have been getting into repairing old video games again and I am loving it. Last week I pulled out a 1976 Atari Stunt Cycle, I cleaned up some connectors, installed a plug and plugged it in. Well the game board started smoking and the monitor had a line across the screen. Not a great start.

A couple of days ago I decided to jump back in and within a couple of hours, I had the game working, not 100% but working. That was a very exciting moment for me as I have never worked on this game before or the monitor in it either.

Here is what it looks like so far.

Added a Quik Draw to the basement. After countless tries, I'm 'remarkable' at best. Scared to play my kids.

Well, I am home for the first time since Pincon. I just moved the pins from my garage office to storage.

Kinda having a rough time. Work has me running around like mad.

Leaving Monday 6am for Rouyn Noranda, but back Wednesday. Putting in time to finish a project for someone. Coming out sweet! More on that later...

Huh? Centuri Swimmer is one of the most expensive games listed at the time? Never heard of the game! Crazy cab! Never played Midway Blue Print either, both listed for $2145 US in 1982 (~$5,625.47 in 2018).

I spend countless hours daily and weekly currently: Working on devices that I know others should play and enjoy...
I must admit that there is a certain sense of calm; "finally" approaching in this new series of endeavor's...

This is no longer a "collector" position that I am "in" after 6-7 years, here.
My feelings and motive's have shifted quite significantly recently.

Time to have others experience what most of us know already.
More soon.

Damn... I finally have something to write in this thread! I got home from Québec City on Thursday afternoon... holy shit... I have been home for 4 days in a row! Amazing! LOL

Well, regardless of it being 39C in my shop, I did work on the Power Play playfield swap. 90% done. Just some final tweaks and I will drop the playfield in the cab for testing!!!

I left it to that as I just couldn't focus in the heat as much as I should. Best to leave it aside for later this week. It will be cooler this next weekend and I intend to finish it.

So instead, I gave a Little effort in the basement today, working on the gameroom. The support for the projector screen is done, and framing for the suspended ceiling is Under way. Doesn't seem like much, but to see any progress down there is quite inspiring.

Onwards!

Super!
Take lots of pictures of the restoration.
Easier said than done. I know. I'm not very good at it myself :FP:
When I'm in the middle of a job, I'm like a tornado. No time for pictures. And the ones I did take turn out all blurry.
