Will City Take Pinball Glass on Garbage Day?

Postby TwilightZone » Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:32 pm

I bought a pinball recently and the playfield glass is seriously scratched. Anyone know if I can leave that in my regular garbage as is? Hoping I don't have to break it up first.

Have you tried calling 311 to ask that question?
In any case, glass is dangerous to the workers. Personally I would break it up and put it in a solid box. My city does not want flat glass in the recycling bin either.

The city of Ottawa wants glass panes and windows to be put with the regular garbage, unbroken, but they will collect it even in large sheets: http://app06.ottawa.ca/cgi-bin/search/r ... ws&lang=en

Take 2 garbage bags and some duct tape. Put a garbage bag over one end, the other bag over the other, tape them together, put safety goggles on and whack an edge with a hammer.

Poof.

Bag full of diamonds. Put it in the trash.
Stage 5B. All except for NIB crap.

I like this idea. Think that's what I'll do. Thanks, Ian!

Hey, Duane, don't forget to put on your best Mario outfit, crank the Donkey Kong Hammer music (see below; yer welcom!), smash the glass, and then upload the video to YooToob for us to enjoy!
