Linked arcade driving games... what is out there?

Postby Sparky » Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:13 pm

Well, I have been bitten by a driving bug. LOL. Ever since the meeting at Darkdog's with the Daytonas, I have been revisiting classic drivers.

Recently, I have picked up a few driving games, and I am super happy with them. I have a Super Monaco GP, Sega Turbo, Data East Speed Buggy and most recently an Atari APB (needs a lot of work).

I am really having a lot of fun, but I may grab a couple more.

Spy Hunter would be awesome... but out of my price range. LOL

And a row of Daytonas sounds cool, but might be too much work. But... there are other linked games...

I know that there are a lot of modern drivers, but the only recent one that grabs my fancy is Rush the Rock. Azatotht had 2 and it was fun as hell.

I used to play Final Lap like crazy in the early 90's, but I haven't seen any since, to be honest.

And one game I also loved was Outrunners. I saw that Geoff had one for sale... last year. LOL oops. I missed that one.

I have a space in wihich I was planning to put 3 pins... but I am considering a twin driver as well. As long at it can come apart for me to lower it in the basement.

Opinions on classic drivers? Suggestions?
Stage 5B. All except for NIB crap.

Would dig a pair of Rush the Rocks but out of basement room. New drivers are fun too! Don't want to give up pins to make room!

But still love my Super Sprint. Hope to get my Demolition Derby 'island' back together one day. Darn my resto-procrastination.
