HEROES of the WEEK!!
Hey guys,
I wanted to add a bit of positivity in today's world. Even before this craptastic pandemic, we tended to drift towards the negative and tended to overlook the positive. The people that do selfless acts and ask nothing in return.
So... I want to bring these people out to light, as it is well deserved. And also, feel free to add people here that very well deserve it! I wrote "of the Week" but it can be whenever.
So... my first nominations... Chnillapoil, Mindstorm and all the 3d-printing crew in Canada! Alain and Bruno have been tinkering with 3D printers for a while now and have done many pinball parts for many collectors. But they have recently taken it up a few notches.
They have recently changed their focus from printing pinball parts to selflessly printing out visor parts for our health workers!! Please take the time and look up Alain Thériault's posts on FB. There is also a link for a GoFundMe campaign to purchase bare materials in order to build more visors:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/production-d ... hare-sheet
And see last page here if you have been under a rock: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=25855&start=100
Thank you guys... you are true gentlemen!
And to all in MAACA, PLEASE contribute what you can to this cause!!

Fantastic job guys. You HAVE made a difference. And in doing what they’ve done, they’ve protected a life who is saving a life. Fact.

Great to read about stuff like this! Great job guys!
I know frontline healthcare workers go through a ton of masks, gloves, and other protective equipment in order to protect themselves and other patients... so I know that your contribution will help people stay safe

Re: HEROES of the WEEK!!
Well, here goes for my pic of hero of the week. A bit of a biased choice, but so what. LOL. I believe that in these suck-ass times, with distractions such as MAACA being practically essential, I would like to nominate AZATOTHT as hero of the week!
Az asks for nothing, is quiet, yet still puts in A LOT of time and effort to keep the site running. He went BALLS DEEP in the recent site update, putting a lot of his own time into it.
So I say thanks to my "metro" buddy. We all owe you!!!

MAACA is a great distraction and alternative to reading depressing news all day. Thanks to the admins!Sparky wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 11:46 amWell, here goes for my pic of hero of the week. Re: HEROES of the WEEK!!
Thank you M. Ferguson,
I am really touched, we did what we could at the time.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since this war effort.
I try to look at the future with a positive outlook despite what is happening right now.
Everyone can make a difference in these times of incertainty.
I don't know you, or maybe ? Anyway I'll be pleased to shake your hand in a near future.
I will probably attend to the Hawkesbury flea fair.
Regards,
Alain
