Re: Black Knight issues
You can test the coil resistance to make sure it is bad before changing it.
You should test the replacement coil resistance too before installing it.

Re: Black Knight issues
Probably a connector again - use the game diagram to identify which connector/pin.
Unlikely it will be the boards or drive transistor as I understand they were all checked by ToMMy.
Could be the contact adjustment on the bell assembly itself too.

Re: Black Knight issues
It won't be a transistor. If the bell is in the cabinet & not on the playfield it's fed by a different red +38V wire and a different pin on 3J3 than the playfield uses.

It doesn’t matter at the moment. Turned the game on and the pop bumper coil locked on. Now the speech and sound don’t work either. Not a good day. I think I will leave it for a bit.

Re: Black Knight issues
Final chapter! After a few times blowing up the pop bumper transistor, the pop bumper finally showed up in a switch matrix issue. Further investigation revealed a flasher circuit wire that was removed by the previous owner occasionally touched the pop bumper bracket sending 15 volts to the pop bumper switch and back to the board. It was extremely difficult to see. The wire was trimmed and the switch matrix tested and was clear. Luckily I had a spare solenoid board and installed it. Regardless the Black Knight is working perfectly just like it should. Thanks to all who helped through the troubleshooting and final repair.
