Garage Pin Season

A long time ago, Azatotht clued me in on the concept of having a garage pin. It’s brilliant really. My wife will only allow so many in the house and summertime is a good time to find an extra machine or two. Those obviously go in the garage.

The garage pin doesn’t need to be (and preferably not) a good quality machine or a keeper. It just needs to be there. It’s nice to work outside in summer, hit the garage, Grab a beer and slap away at a game. The garage pin is some thing to tinker with and hang around when friends stop by for a short time. It’s something to learn and practice on and then in the fall sells off to clear room for what needs to be in there in the winter. I’ve been doing it now for many years and some of my fondest memories have been hanging with friends and playing a crappy machine in my garage on a nice summer evening.

My future wife keeps suggesting I convert the garage into a gameroom so we could have more games. Too bad I actually need the garage once in a while..

Well, looks like the garage pin tradition will be back this year after all.

Summer project acquired, it’s a real time warp since it was the second game I owned when I started collecting, drove all the way to Sherbrooke with Sparky to pick it up (the one back then, not this one).
