volume control

Postby steamfitter » Sat Jul 23, 2016 4:42 pm

I previously cleaned my volume control with contact /connector cleaner and it still was cutting in and out occasionally, bought some good stuff ($25 a can) and what a difference sounds awesome. Love my tunes when I'm playing pin .

Indeed DeOxIt is an excellent product doing a great job on volume controls and sliding switches.
Better than most products out there. Many audiophiles use it. But flammable - still not for use in EM pinballs of course.

I remember using it in the early 80s at a TV repair shop I was working part-time in east Montreal back then.
It was expensive then - even more so today.

I think the motto printed on old DeOxIt cans back in those days was:
'Approved by US government for missiles and submarines'.
...It must be good!

Cheers,
- Sylvain.
