pinball: AC or DC powered bulbs?

Postby ALJO » Sun Mar 11, 2018 4:10 pm

Hey everyone.
I bought a Moped last summer that I just restored and now after restoring the thing, I find out that the bulbs to light the speedometer are different from models of the years before, it has 555 bulbs that are 6V 3W and I can't find them anywhere on the net, I thought I could use 555 pinball bulbs since they are 6.3 Volts but I want to make sure that they work on DC or AC power, I don't remember.....I need DC powered bulbs.
Please let me know.
Thanks for the info.
Claude.

Regular old incandescent lightbulbs are both AC and DC, they don't care. A 6V DC lamp will work equally well on 6V AC.
