P3 Multi morphic pinball questions......
Hey everyone.
I'm very tempted to (again) get myself a Multi morphic pinball since I really need room, I would sell the 2 games I have to buy 1 Multi Morphic game with many tables, and so I have a few questions.
I want to buy a deposit from a guy on Pinside, and so, get a game around february.
First question: How much were the platforms before the september price increase? because I could get a few at the price they were before september.
Second: Why are some games at 3000$ and others at 500$ and others at 150$, 100$ 170$ etc.
Third: What are 3rd party games?
Thanks for letting me know.

Re: P3 Multi morphic pinball questions......
The P3 platform without a module was the same price in Aug and now: $8300
The modules were raised $500 for the price increase in Sept. If you bought a full machine in August 2022, you could expect it to arrive in Sept 2023.
A module is a physical playfield that goes in the upper 1/3 of the machine. The older ones are simpler so they are cheaper. The newest one is the most expensive at $3500. The game software is "free", or more precisely included in the hardware price.
A game at $500 or less is just the price of the software. You have to buy the hardware module that works with it separately. That would never be the original game since it was "free" with the module. Those are extra games you can buy. This is a great benefit of the P3 platform. You can get a completely new game for less than 1/10th the price of a full machine.
A 3rd party game is a software game that was developed by another company than Multimorphic but is tested and endorsed by Multimorphic. Those games are sold and distributed in their on-line store.
Bingopodcast on pinside has developed many games in that list. He is currently working on his own hardware module for a Vampire themed game named Drained. That will be the first 3rd party hardware module when it comes out in a few months.
Multimorphic also said they expect to release two more modules within the next year.

Re: P3 Multi morphic pinball questions......

While I get his development costs are higher than Multimorphic, I think he priced himself out of competition. Only module at MultiMorphic as expensive is Weird Al. All their other games are cheaper than this module, which is VERY plain btw. The street level look matches the retro feel he was aiming for. The "mechs" are a knocker, physical bells and possibly subways.mrmikeman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 9:24 pmWhile I get his development costs are higher than Multimorphic, I think he priced himself out of competition. I don't think the other modules come with the side art. This makes him cheaper than Al but more expensive than Heist.
Tough competition indeed, not counting two more modules from Multimorphic next year.
