I was expecting something more flamboyant.
Maybe they put all the money on the license and there was nothing left for toys.
I bet they took away some features when the bean counters hit the equals button.

The playfield also looks boring as far as art goes, just random Star Wars things plopped here and there. Millenium Falcon, check. Pensive Obi Wan, yep. Group shot of the heroes? Sure, we can drop that down here.

Me too, When I see a Stern game for sale, I don't even bother to go see what game it is, to me they are all boring except for TSPP and even that one took me a long time to appreciate, 2 ownerships.

Dialed In and Aliens are the new games with the WOW factor for me.

But, just like with Game Of Thrones, I am sure this game will be fun as hell and cost half the price of a Dialed In. There's room in the market for both, hopefully. (I really really really want Dialed In and Aliens to succeed, as I have no doubt Stern Star Wars will sell just fine)

The LEs are going to sell out in two seconds on this game and maintain their price. The Pros will have a good lifespan and probably make a lot of operators happy with how unfussy they look. Let's not forget the main draw here will be the big LCD screen playing classic Star Wars movie clips.

The art I am indifferent about, just because I know what happens when you work with an uptight license. You gotta use their properties in ways they approve, no wiggle room.

I like the No Fear uturn shot which most likely has a diverter for the Death Star lock.
No idea how on the LE the ball gets to the upper upper right ramp area for the hyper loop. I will have to wait to see high res photos, which will probably come out today or tomorrow.
2nd LCD seems unnecessary, but hopefully will be used smartly.

Sure, but let's not call it big. It looks tiny compared to Houdini.

I guess this is good news for Jersey Jack as more people will be attracted to Dialed In compared to the new Star Wars by Stern.

I don't get it though, out of allllllllllllllllllllllllllll the possible toys and features you could have come up with, this is the final product. A Death Star and a stagnant Millennium Falcon. Wtf... I'm not a huge Star Wars geek but even I know that this doesn't do justice for the films. So much potential but just judging from the pictures ONLY, it seems like Stern has come short on this one.

Like Steve's other Stern games, this one lacks in the art department. It will probably play great, but looks very, very "meh" as Mr. Hide put it :-)

I'm not in the market for a new game anyhow. I'm priced right out. When Pros are $8K plus, I'm no longer a buyer no matter what it looks or plays like. But if I had the cash, DI is the only game I would consider at this point. I loved the layout on Aliens and it played nice, but the particle board cab is an issue to me. Also, concerned about the build quality of some of the parts.

DI played like a champ. It was super smooth with quality parts. I'm still amazed someone didn't speak up and say the theme sucks before it was released. Could have easily been a disaster theme.

I have few questions:
1-It look like there's some kind of lift-up ramps here
2-Is there some motorized target like Tron here ?
3-What is this small bracket doing there ?

I didn't check a lot about DI. Just checked videos and i'm very impressed by this pin. Everything look great and it's full of innovative playfield design. It look great, great lightshow, great music and voice calls. Backbox animations are superb.

Star Wars on the other side is a more conservative design and the ballflow will be very fast. Not sure what happen on the playfield lcd but i hope it will serve for the informations gameplay and shots. I also like the variety of shots difficulty. I'm a complete fan of drop targets and spinner. What happen on the backbox lcd ? What is the quality of soundtrack, voice calls ? I'm ok with the playfield artwork, i find it well done with great blue and violet colors, in my opinion everything on the playfield artwork serve very well the theme, dispositions and dimensions are good. There's still a lot to discover about this pin, those pictures preview give very little informations. And for the mods, tons of toys already available to every stores near you. No need to pay tons of money to mod builders to improve a lot the playfield look. I'm a very big Star Wars fan and hope not to be disapointed when i discover more informations.

less the canon and the stainless steel ramps on the pro.

The bottom flyby U-ramp on the premium looks cool. Too bad it's missing on the pro.

I wonder what I would have said of Star Trek Vengeance based on the marketing pictures.
Star Trek succeeds in telling a story with just a few ramps.
Maybe Star Wars can achieve the same thing.
