Quality Inspection Stickers

Postby Pindude152 » Thu Apr 07, 2016 4:42 pm

One thing I love finding in an old bally is the Quality Inspected Factory Checker Sticker. For some time till the early 70's the QA inspectors had personalized stickers. I always thought it was a nice touch.

On the other front, Williams QA stickers suggest their games were made on the island in The Prisoner.

Seriously... with all the posts on this on all the forums, with many people having worked in pinball companies, you would figure someone would have posted an image or info on who the hell J.Santiago is/was. LOL The guy is probably one of the most famous people in pinball, and probably doesn't even know it. LOL

I bet you if he came forward, there would be a TON of pin-heads asking him to sign their machines. LOL

And the funny thing is that this guy was probably some poor schlub working the assembly lines for 30+ years at minimum wage. LOL

Hacks you say? After 46 years, that Mariner is a hack nightmare of biblical proportion :FP:
I will take pictures of the worst hacks once the game is set up.

I just started this thread as a digital record of the QA checkers from the Bally bygone era.
To give a special thought to those guys that checked and tested games day in day out on the factory floor.

This post from Sparky is in August 2016...old thread...humour from ages past...
Most of us "old-ish-timers" know whom J. Santiago is/was as well as we know whom Sparky is.

Bring on the hacks from this pin...

Just found one after tidying up some pinball parts. Came off a Dixieland. Imagine having to hear a reset motor all day long.
