Gottlieb Basketball - 1949

Post by mbudman »

Hello,

I am trying to bring to life my Gottlieb basketball from 1949.

I managed to get it to start up and I was wondering if someone could help me with the sounds. I only have one bell. Is there only one bell or are there supposed t be more? How does one find out?

The bell only sounds of when hitting (activating) the bumpers on the side. Every other score feature just makes a click (score advancement) sound that does not sound right.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Mark

I will post pics shortly, but I do not have any bells in the head and there are no coils for the bells either.

The bell underneath the playfield that does work.

This machine was sitting in my neighbor's basement for 13 years without being used until I got of it last week. I don't even see the wires for the coils to make the bells work.
