Reskinning An Asteroids Cocktail

Post by Chris Silver »

Hey guys. I never would've thought of posting in this forum before but here I am the happy owner of an Asteroids cocktail cabinet.

It will be converted into a 60-1 over the winter and I'd like to know what to use and where to buy some skin. It appears the original skin that was on is black and brittle. What type of glue do you use to apply it or does it come with a sticky back?

Also, most importantly I need a coin door for this Atari cabinet. Any assistance and resources would be greatly appreciated. I'm building an arcade in my basement soon. :P

Lucky Guy!!!

I had ordered some stuff from a place in montreal. I will try to find the name of the place. When I glued it, I used contact cement or if you have access 1300L would work too.

Here you go Chris

Centre Coupe D'or, they sell sheets 4x8 and 5x12. 1/16 and 1/32 thicknesses available. I can't remember how much though.
