January Pinball Night @ Ian's

Postby underachiever » Tue Jan 19, 2016 9:44 am

Thanks Ian. A fun night of pinball on your awesome lineup of pins. We had a power outage and a machine go down but that didn't stop the fun. Hope it's a simple fix - "just a fuse" ;)
The eats were awesome with a nice selection of healthy choices. I should try that more often. Thanks!!!

I guess there were 5 different winners on all 5 machines.

For those interested in fireball here is a quick summary.

1. 10 second op hack to fix the no advance problem was to hold close the "ball index relay"

2. We broke a wire which is when the GI went out.

3. Underlying issue was ball index relay died so playfield was not getting qualified.

4. Flaky advancing some people had noticed was caused by poor contact on player stepper EOS. This probably was causing the ball index relay to energise and deenergise frequently contributing to the ultimate failure.

Thanks to everyone (especially Beeson and Stef) who tried to help with the game when it went down.

Anyway, I had a good time and next month I can just focus on playing.
