Thanks for sharing this Cait! That had to be one of the worse songs/videos I have ever seen. Cool to see the old games though.

Pinball almost died in 1983-1984, the video craze was hot. I played some video games but I always played pinball because I just liked them way better.

I actually am really enjoying the song in it's super cheeseball way. It's quite an earworm. And Joe's mugging around the arcade is hilarious. :)

And I like that someone captured the shift in arcades as part of their personal anxieties.

Was Joe Walsh ever normal? That is one messed up song, video AND arcade.

However, it did allow me to remember a part of my past I had forgotten: TIME PILOTS!!!

Holy crap! Off to Google to find a gameplay video of this! I'm stoked!

If you want to get really deep in to it, check out this 5 part restore of a Time Pilots machine:

Or skip to the fifth video for the gameplay.

Just finished watching this video;

I made it to stage 7 when I was a kid. The UFO stage use to mess me up all the time because I'd avoid the asteroids. As a kid I never understood why the game kept incrementing the stages but repeated the same planes over. The sound when the ship jumps to the next time still makes me happy, excited and smile all at the same time. That "ting-g-g" at the end as it disappears. So awesome!

[EDIT] 1982?! Holy crap I was only 9 when this came out! No wonder it alluded my memory for soooo long! Off to Kijiji...
