Spreadsheet with the final prices and other data:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... k/htmlview
Thanks Phil... I didn't see it anywhere so I tried to do a quick spreadsheet with the prices that were posted in bits & pieces from numerous sources... ;)

now anyone can just add the tax (7.5%) and exchange rate.

You get a 3% discount on the total if you don't use a credit card. Usually they charge you 3% more if you go that route...

The article/media reported the museum's collection was valued in excess of $8 million, so even though the prices went berserk, can't say I understand where that number came from.. were they actually expecting some of those ridiculous selling prices would be even bigger than that??
err...the auction ain't over.

FRIDAY SEPT. 24th @ 3:00pm PST (Lot #800 - 937)
SATURDAY SEPT. 25th @ 11:00am PST (Lot #940 - 1223)
SUNDAY SEPT. 26th @ 11:00am PST (Lot #1225 - 1386)

The sought-after/"rarer" stuff hasn't been auctioned yet...other than a few items like Hercules(???), TAFG, Tattoo Assassins, etc.

Back to the Future Pinball Machine Data East 14000$ 2520$
Banzai Run Pinball Machine Williams 14500$ 2610$
The Addams Family Special Collectors Edition Gold Bally 22500$ 4050$

 :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking

On which planet are these prices real ? Money laundering ?

Does not make sense AT ALL
I am curious if there are any buybacks...I recall these auctions at the Chicago Expo...they were trying to get premium prices, but then we learned that there were many buybacks. You have to give credit to the auction company...that advertised it so well that many most likely jumped on these w/o doing their research. Reminds me of an auction I went like 16-17 years ago near Deseronto on a campground. They had 2 pinball machines (Gold Wings and Comet IIRC). I went to figure I might get a "deal"... boy was I wrong! The GoldWings wasn't booting and was in rougher than rough shape. The Comet was partially working but most displays were gone. I left when prices hit like $800 (plus hammer/taxes)...insanity.

I suspect the same thing happened here. Now, when the auction picks back up in 2 weeks, either the prices will normalize, or will continue to go skywards as the "public" are too stupid to do their research.

Stupid pinball prices are only a problem if you are buying...
