FS: Xmen Pro HUO
- HUO (mint). See pictures.
- Price: $6,700
- Plays 100% perfect.
- Manufacture Date: August 2012
- 2nd owner. Owned since April 2016
- It had about 3k plays when I got it.
- 600 plays since the last code update (so in approx the last 5 years).
- So my estimate is that it has about 4k plays on it in total.
- Mods:
- Full LEDS
- Cliffy scoop protector (not installed). I removed it because I don't like how it affects gameplay.
- Mantis scoop protector installed instead.
- Shaker Motor
- Wolverine Newton Ball Mod (installed). Opens up the Beast and Xavier shots. I have the switch adjusted so that it takes a good direct hit to activate as I hated how easy it was to start Wolverine multi-ball. Adjust to your taste.
- An original (cut to fit) Stern Wolverine figure is mounted on top of the mod.
- I have a brand new figure (with the Belt Mod protector)and the original mechanism.
- MezelMods Switch Stack Mod for standup target nearest Xavier shot. Keeps the stack from tilting and narrowing the Xavier shot further.
- Matrix strip lighting on playfield backboard (increases light at back of game).
- I put greyish tape over the front of the florescent backbox bulb to reduce glare as the glare on the playfield glass and brightness of the translite is too much on this one. Easy to remove if desired.
- Replaced some of the easy to access original black rubber on the game because I hate black (messy).
My opinion is that this is a very under-rated game and very tough to get to Dark Phoenix or Danger Room. Too tough for me - so I have had enough! Actually I still enjoy the game and not sure I want to sell it but something needs to go so that I can change up the lineup after Xmas. Not interested in trades at the moment unless you have an Oktoberfest - in which case let's talk. Don't want to ship at this time either and not in a rush to sell.

Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO
Well wouldn't you know it. Had a few games last night and I actually made it to Danger Room and did well in it. Only the 3rd time I've ever done that. I was also only 1 shot (scoop) away from starting Hellfire Club (Villain) multi-ball which was the final Villain that I needed to beat in order to get to Dark Phoenix which I have only done once before. Damn it!!! What a rush - now I don't want to sell it again. Back to thinking about selling IM now instead...so I'll just have to go play that one as playing them always seems to change my mind on which one to sell. I really do hate selling games.

Lol, just make sure you don't have any regrets! I guess it wouldn't be as hard if you were already set on another game

I always have initial regrets but they disappear quickly. The only game I still regret a little is Scared Stiff. It was simple but always a hoot to play.

IM and Xmen are both great games, but don't fret it too much because they're both not too hard to find. They come around.
Scared Stiff, you just don't see those on the market.

Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO
Make sure you are certain you want to sell it. Games in good shape just don't come up often and they are grabbed quickly. I was on the fence about selling my Xmen Pro. Like you, I think it's a great game and really under rated. It's punishing as hell and can be super frustrating.
I debated selling it for months before I finally listed and sold it. In my case, I had something else lined up so have no regrets. If I didn't have something lined up, I don't think I would have listed it. It really is a fun game.
Good luck, Tom!

Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO
Thanks Duane. I am never sure I want to sell but as you pointed out it is easier if you have your mind set on something. I don’t at this point. Although I think an Oktoberfest would be my next buy if I was to start looking. I find it tough to change things up when I am so happy with my current collection - wish I had a bigger place (my wife not so much).

Great looking game, nicely priced! Obviously in pristine shape, I mean it's Tom we're talking about here, lol. And a a rare thing he's willing to open his vault!
