WTB head to head style pin.

Postby Dr McFly » Tue May 02, 2017 8:10 pm

Looking for my second pin to add to my collection. Played a head to head Alvin G & Co USA football and was quite intrigued by it.

Complete units welcome, but projects preferred.

Thanks gents!

Interesting pinball sub-variant. Don't forget the super-collectable Joust (Williams, 1983), which is actually very fun, if also small. I thought there were others, but can't seem to find them on IPDB.org

Joust would be at the top of my list of wants. But I'm willing to bet because of the rarity, I doubt I'd find someone will to let one go. BUT thanks for the segue friend!

There's a Challenger listed here for Allentown, and from Ottawa: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinfest-2017-allentown/page/33#post-3746599

He is only looking for trade, and I'm sure I have nothing worth his time. Thanks for the heads up though!

The challenger is mine.

I could be convinced to let it go on the right trade, you can PM me what you have for trade, who knows maybe you have something I am looking for?

The game is not a huge hit with all pinballers but my non-pinball guests really have a ball with it.

The Mr. Pinball Price Guide lists this thing at over $3K USD so you may want to keep that in mind as well. ;)

Seems like none of these head to head pins are cheap tho.

The price is not a shocker.

One of my biggest regrets with getting into this hobby was the very first machine I bought. Konami 4 Player XMen. The thing is awesome! Excellent condition. Works great!

But that's the problem.... Looks and works great, which means there was nothing for me to DO to it other than look at it/play it. Which is OK, but my passion for this come from the restore.

Very long winded way of explaining why a project piece is preferred... Lol

I've owned every single head to head pin that was made, Challenger is, in a certain way, not really a head to head game, just like Rat Race, in the way that you don't play simultanously (if that's the right word) with the other player, players take turns in playing one after another, so it's a little like a regular pinball machine but you don't swap places, Alvin G. head to head games are fun but Joust is the top, but seriously, Joust is too harsh on the rules to be really enjoyable because even if one player is better, it does'nt mean that he'll win most of the times, the top points are too hard to acheive.......I've owned 5 Jousts, I know what I'm talking about.
A fun Head to head game is Jungle Lord Gold Edition (triple head to head) ;)

I'm thinking of selling Williams Rat Race, would you be interrested?
