Still looking for these two above specific floor radio models 1015X and 1516X from Canadian Westinghouse. Working or not.
Also looking for a large tabletop Canadian General Electric CX371 (pic below, I have seen the two FS on Kijiji in Shawinigan & Quebec).
Cash, or trade for quality pinball repair services (+/-$ if needed).

Thanks,
- Sylvain.

Thanks Rich.
Before dragging the radio back, could you please double-check that it is indeed the exact model that I am looking for?
A lot of those look quite alike - but are very different inside in fact. I have to focus only on a few specific models, as space is limited.
I do fix most boards, but might need the whole machine as a 'test bench' for some boards - depending on which actual board you need repaired.

Thank you,
- Sylvain.

A little known place here in Guelph might be able to help you. It's a hidden gem of a museum.

Thanks Guard.

I need to make some time to go visit that place at some point in the future, looks quite interesting.

Unsure if a museum is allowed to sell radios, but they might have a lead.
Our Ottawa Vintage Radio Club newsletter editor recently went and he wrote a nice article with pics about that place.

Thanks again,
-Sylvain.

Well I live not far away from there if you need a place to crash.

I haven't been there in a couple of years so I'm due for a visit anyways. Fred Hammond and my father were childhood pals.....[ sadly, both long gone of course]

Very neat! Have to visit. Thanks for sharing the info.

And, Sylvain, if you're in the area, please feel free to drop by my place for games, food and conversation. It been a while since we last gabbed about pinball in person.

If you visit make sure you ask how Fred managed to get the radio off the USS Missouri [Japan surrender]........very interesting tale. [especially when the US tried to recommission the ship]

Lots of smaller museums sell periodically. They get sporadic donations, and due to space concerns often will just keep the most important examples, and sell the rest for funding. So it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Not the model you're looking for, but my father has a late 30's model in his garage. If you're ever interested, let me know. He'd love to see it go to someone who would appreciate it.

Thanks all, appreciated.

Dave W: many thanks for offering that radio. It appears to be a 1929-1931 highboy broadcast receiver, unsure of the brand.
Due to limited space (just like pinballs!) and not quite the radio years I am collecting, this would be appreciated more by someone else I am sure.

Still looking for those 1936/1937 Canadian Westinghouse radios models 1015X, 1516X.
Heck, if I was closer and had more time, I would be interested in that RCA A33 in Niagara Falls on Kijiji too!

Thanks again,
-Sylvain.

Thanks Sylvain for the insight on the year it was made. My father was born in 1940 and remembers it being in his house throughout his childhood, but he had no idea when it was manufactured. He doesn't have the heart to just throw it out... so I'll poke around to find someone that has an interest in it.
