LOL :) :D

I don't want to start another thread, the project is almost finish....

Don't worry Alain. You know I'm only kidding ;) someone has to keep this thread alive.

If Monkeybug ever stops procrastinating on his swap and gets me those spare parts, maybe I'll be able to one day post in my own thread again too :FP:

I'm in Germany right now and it's 1am. Next week it's Las Vegas. Previous to that, 5 other trips since January 1st.
You can see how this year is shaping up for me. I'm lucky to have enough time to play pinball... much less work on them.
At least there is no other major travel planned after this. I still have 2 classic stern to finish as well as a space shuttle swap... but Fathom is taking much too long.

At least it will taste sweeter once complete.

What process did you use for polishing the larger metal parts under the playfield? They look great.

That was an epic week-end... and a little bit more complicated then expected... but we finally have the Fathom up and running 100%.

The harness going to the power suppply to the backbox was completely missing, but fortunately I have everything in hand to copy it. we have to make a lot of new connection and wire change. before we were ready to plug the game and make some testing, we lost the power at home... we have to wait until sunday to try it.

HPR made new micro switch activator for the throught.

At noon, we have everything running ok. With couple switch adjustement, bulb change and voila! A new fathom in the quebec province and an happy friend with his new baby.

For people who didn't already noticed... this is the 2500$ Fathom... Just want to make fun of Paidge... It's his Fathom and want to see is reaction when he see it for sale... sorry gentlemen...

Guy.

I'm so happy to see this conversion finished!

It's hard to explain, but I felt really guilty selling the project half completed. When I ended up buying an original Fathom and I needed to make space, it seemed like a good decision. However, seeing it bounce around from person to person made me wonder if it would ever become reality.
I was happy to hear that Guy had the passion to see it finished and that Gino had stepped in to help make it happen.

It's great to see another machine come to life... and especially from the ashes of an old Fireball II that would have otherwise have been destroyed.

Congratulations Guy on a beautiful machine and thanks for everyone who helped bring it the rest of the way across the finish line!
I can also sleep a little bit better now :)

I am very happy to see this project close out too.

I had a small hand in getting things to where they are now along with some hot water that came with it.

All a means to an end really and in the end everything works out the way it's supposed to.

Sweet dreams and rip that spinner.
