I get it, I really do, but I do almost all of my diagnosing at the computer. I'd happily pay $20 for a nicely scanned PDF tbf.
As an aside: last time I bought a rerprint schematic I found it really wore away at the fold seams. If I end up getting a schematic I'd rather buy an original and scan it in myself, which I've done for other games. The print quality tends to be better.

I have to agree with cait on this one. I shelled out the $20 (USD I think) for a physical copy of schematics for an EM from PBR and some of it wasn't legible. I've unfolded and folded it less than a dozen times and some of the ink that is on the folds has already worn away.

I understand that PBR needs to protect these things, but I would have gladly paid for a PDF as well or $30 for a laminated version.

Nothing beats the original paperwork, at least not yet.

Because when I am too old to adjust an AX relay or relieve a woman friend from sighing, there will only be memories to fill my time. So, the task at hand is to build that RRSP of memories in order to joyfully cushion the later stages of life.

Personally prefer the exceptional qualities lurking beneath any normal state of affairs. Alas, our day to day is being promoted as extraordinary via a world wide web largely fueled by the new dumb & followed closely by the latest breed of unscrupulous scoundrels & judas goats. So, god bless the fool hearted, the crazed, and the railroaded all in good measure for they will likely inherit what is left of the earth after the screwheads are done with it. God damn darwinian primates, why do they refuse to evolve, even after all we should have learned from being dumb savages for so long.

You know what? that's a great idea: they should sell the PDF. but then they would need to protect it and have a special reader which would suck.

but a digital copy that you pay for, good idea. Gee the record and movie cies should think about that 8-)

I think many of us in this hobby, given that it's frickin pinball, would have no qualms shelling out $20 for a high quality DRM-free PDF when needed. Some might pirate, sure, but lots of people will still buy it for convenience.
Every TV show and movie is up on thepiratebay, yet people still love their streaming services.

I buy movies from GOG.com because they deliver a high quality file that I have forever.
