hello everyone, not sure if anybody is going to read this considering nobody posted anything for over a year

I am new to the forum, My name is Juan and I live in Kanata (west side of Ottawa) been living on this side of town for 10 years now and before that lived in Toronto for a bit and before that lived in other parts of the world. I am Argentinian-Canadian, retired photographer almost in my 40s with intentions to maybe acquiring a small collection of machines. I am interested the 90s models which are are the ones I grew up playing with and really enjoyed... It has been a few decades since I had a good pinball game, I did find a few now and then in Radom arcades but these were often run down machines with weak paddles or missing bulbs or what not... certainly nothing memorable... that and arcades dying in popularity over the last 20 years I can say that I have not touched a decent pinball machine in 25 years.
I know there are some places in Ottawa that can be found but never cared enough to look into it...

So back to my introduction:
I am interested in playing some 90s Williams games and hopefully acquire a few over the next few years. We will see how this evolves. I am also naturally inclined to tinker with things, I like repairing and restoring things but mostly in upgrading. I am very curious and also a natural trader, I would love to own a few machines and often rotate my collection, played fix them sell them and so on.

Looking forward to meeting people in Ottawa and perhaps joining the league! I have other hobbies of my own and this would be hobby #3 so that and being a dad will see how far this goes. I am looking forward to making friends in the Ottawa area and hoping to meet other pinball-ers on the West side!

Merry Christmas! hope we can all get back to our lives soon!

Cheers!

I need some help!

...I have seen a couple machines tonight and I would be interested in buying one of them... and they are 90s Williams, both seem to be in good condition and they play well... but I have questions and since I might have your attention I am wondering if someone here would be available to chat with me about some concerns I have particularly about playfield and cabinet condition.
I do not want to steer this thread in a weird direction but since I seemed to grab the attention of a couple people, I am wondering if you can give me a hand.

Please send me a PM :)

I have been repairing and rebuilding pinball machines for 20 years mostly bally 1977-84
now I have started to build a kiss pinball machine starting with the cabinet made from Baltic birch
the wiring for the backbox is complete that was a challenge, most of the hardware came from marcos and pinball life.

Hi all! I'm a new member and very happy to be a part of your community. I recently started getting into flippers and found this forum looking for like-minded people and advice from experienced players. I've played a few flippers already, but I'm always interested in exploring new ones and continuing my skills. I hope to find a lot of interesting discussions about flippers here and get some helpful tips to become a better player.

I am back :FP: and I will no longer go by user name Ethous decided to change my nick to my gamer handle that I have been using close to 15 years plus .

I have some interesting stuff down the pipeline and figured would be better to associate all my various coin op accounts with one user id.

I'll be posting my new project in the next few days to weeks and it's honestly about time, Now I am very sure you guys would be interested in this project.

The only main issues I see happening with this, is me chickening out or procrastinating over this project, I have been working on this for over 8 years and have been to chicken shit to do it.

Well now that the cat is sort of out of the bag, I have spoken to a few people about this project over the years and my intentions, well its happening and I have already started.

Now If you know what I am talking about keep it to yourself for a few more days till I am ready hopefully you will enjoy the content. hint hint.
