Are people excited for this ?

Just curious, the theme does nothing for me but the game will likely be nice.

I don't know anyone that is excited about the theme. Really odd choice to me and I like his 70s stuff.

I think Elton John will be a great classic rock theme but I don't know many people who can afford JJP pins anyways so it's kind of a moot point. :)
I thought Godfather was AMAZING and I wish JJP all the best though I worry without a major hit soon they might be withering financially.

That’s what happens when “suits” and “bean counters” run the show. It probably makes business sense on paper. You need passionate pinhead in the leadership positions instead of corporate shills. Their pricing is so out of touch with reality.

Stern is heading the same way with their current CEO.

Hmm... Suits would actually be a better theme than EJ. It's streaming ranking is record breaking.

looks like the world's fanciest Star Trek. In a good way.

The design looks like it will do better on location than with home buyers.

It's a pretty fun game, played twice today. Of course the light show is amazing, and while Elton John isn't my dream theme or anything, he's got a lot of hits and the overall mood of the game is pretty great.

Reading online the reviews from people who played it at Pinball Expo, I've never seen such a positive 180 shift in opinions.
No one wants to pay "Stern LE" prices of course, but that's just JJP I'm afraid. I'm kind of happy that people are loving this and seeing it as a Ritchie masterpiece.

May I submit .. the Ritchie Rolls Royce?

I don't think it's that bad. The platinum edition is 12k US, and a Stern premium with topper and art blades is almost 11k. You're getting way more playfield bling with the JJP.
