Need help: Stern Lightning no speech *FIXED*

Hi everyone, need some help from the classic Sterns crew please.

I may have a flaky connector somewhere or did something wrong so looking for ideas.

I have no speech in game, other sounds are working fine.

What I tried:

1. Ligthtning has no dip switch to turn speech on and off like others of that era so it's not that.
2. Unplugged and reseatted the 2 ribbon cables from sound card to mpu, brand new cables so I assume they are good too.
3. Unplugged and reseated the 3 connectors on the speech card.

So I was sondering if the speech card was faulty but then I did a burn-in test and heard speeches in the test. After that I started a game and she spoke the phrase for player one then went silent again. I noticed the center pf display was flickering when the speech was working, not sure if it's related but it went rock solid again when the speeches stopped.

We will test this board, of course, but meanwhile, does ayone have an idea of what could be causing this if it's not the board itself ?

Je suis là....Prêt à aider!!!

Premièrement, as-tu changé les billes là-dessus? Parce que des billes usées font un moins bon contact...ça....tout le monde le sait!
Troisièmement, j'ai pas mis de deuxièmement.
Quatrièmement, est ce que le plunger est fonctionnel? Parce que si le plunger marche pas bien...il n'expulse pas de bille... la bille ne touche à rien... n'active aucune switch...donc : pas de son LOGIQUE!!!!
Cinquièmement: toujours vérifier avec Hydro-Québec si la région est présentement en panne d'électricité: pas d'électricité = pas de son!
Sixièmement, je peux toujours me déplacer pour aller aider: j'ai mes cables à booster.

Thanks to Sparky and Rob for testing my board in Flight 2000 yesterday and making sure the issue was not the board itself.

Also thanks for pointing the possible connectors to check.

Solution: connector J3 on the speech board, pin 3, voice out, was bent upward into the housing and not making contact.

Took it out, bent it properly then back in. Boom, speeches !!

Now to figure out wtf the game is saying
