revisiting the classics: new code megathread

I want to assemble a list of games that have custom code made for them.
this will include modified ROMs, and projects where you have to use extra hardware like an arduino or new boards/DMD.
I want a single list so people can check their machines against to see if something for it is out there. Sometimes all it takes is a few tweaks of the ROM to breathe new life in to an old game! Sometimes game you sold long ago are enticing again now that bugs and weird scoring features are gone.

I want to track the following information:
Game (year, manufacturer) - Is the code available? and then a relevant link to find more info

F14 Second Sortie has been on hiatus for 2 years. I don't think it was ever finished.
JD-pyprocgame is done. It implements new custom rules.
T2Game is more a software demo for SkeletonGame since it reproduces (most of) the original rules and the assets are not available. https://github.com/mjocean/T2Game

I don't know the other projects except CCC which you already know about.

If you are considering reprogramming your pinball:
P-ROC can be programmed in Python with the SkeletonGame toolkit.
The Arduino Pinball Controller is cheaper and can be programmed with the MPF toolkit which is more declarative.
You can run the original rom in pinmame to give you the option to run the original rules or your custom rules similar to what BOP 2.0 did.

You can also consider a P3 multimorphic with its open source toolkit in C#.

I was in close contact with Snux back when he was working on Second Sortie. The project may never be completed as life got in the way for him. I have emails where we corresponded back and forth for a bit. I can probably go back and find the exact reason why it was abandoned.

oh that's OK, I don't need their personal details. But I will mark that one as currently abandoned.

Snux told me the same thing a month ago. The early code was in python running on the P-ROC. That requires Snux' Sys11 driver board which he no longer sells. The project also included several custom hardware mods with RGB LEDs and apron screens. The latest software was rewritten in MPF.

Well I am still waiting for an answer from the seller, he might have stopped doing them for a reason or another.

Anyone know of a source where I can order an already built retropin upgrade for my Lightning ? Looking to run the Storm 23 code on it.

The Pinside member I was trying to get in touch with is Roygbev but I've had no replies for my 2 messages since October.
