good to know...... Space Invaders, a classic, :) The only 1 of 2 video games I've owned, the other was a cocktail Donkey Kong.
Was it a lot of elbow grease to remove that paint or was it relatively easy?

It's a little cooler today, takes a little longer to start bubbling.
I start scraping when it starts to come off , I don't want it to affect the original artwork.
Fairly easy to remove

Cool toy. Much better than the K'Nex pinball.
The $199US is a $40US off special for the first 100 customers. The 15% and 10% off is easy to get though.
Looks like a China company. Free worldwide shipping for orders over $65.
Unfortunately, we can't compare against the Euro price since they did not update their site in other languages.

I don't really like selling machines.
Everyone knows this. I hate selling.

However; I am out of space now.
I think I sold 60 games in 30 days long ago.

Once "Upon a Moon". A little while back tho.
I could do that once again with no real problem.

In June; as I require space and I could buy more now.
However, I need to put these other games in friends hands.

eyyyyy long time no linkdump. I've been doing a LOT in the hobby, just not what I had hoped I'd be doing at this point. As a result of severe cataracts and surgery I've lost the ability to to focus on things up close, and this is not something correctable by extra glasses. The reality of the situation struck me recently as I tried to fix a rollover switch and realized I couldn't see any of the fine components. My days of being an amateur pinball tech are at an end. Kind of sucks tbh.

I have been overcompensating with my research projects, however! My site on Japanese arcade history and electromechanical machines now has over 3500 machines listed. https://earlyarcadesjapan.blogspot.com/ ... ction.html

I was able to help put the Nic Costa Archive online. http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2023/ ... on-11.html
Nic Costa is a renowned arcade historian, and known for his Automatic Pleasures books which collect a lot of his articles from Coin Slot magazine.

I documented all of my research for the arcade at Expo '70 in Osaka, highlighting one of the most influential-yet-unsung moments in global arcade history. http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2023/ ... eland.html

I wrote down all of my research about Oriental Kogyo and their weird way of taking from others http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2023/ ... kogyo.html

I did two major arcade explorations of extremely esoteric Japanese arcades.

IT IS THAT TIME AGAIN.
200+ PINS ? And no space...

Last time I did this, 120 pins owned and 60 sold in 60 days.
I don't expect it at all this time around; but, I do need some room.

Cheers. Salut.
All the very best.

Working on a Road Kings that had prior repairs. Just completed MPU board work, etc.
Not quite done yet, but getting there. Fun during my limited spare time!
Looking for Bally Star-Jet, The Wiggler, Williams Magic City, Grand Lizard, Swords of Fury, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, and a few others.
Collecting & repairing electro-mechanical and solid state pinball machines with quality and care for 40+ years already.
Serious and fun hobby, powerful nostalgia !

Folded up Tag Team to bring it to work this week.

Set up Mata Hari in place in order to begin work. Took a quick few pages of notes on problems, ordered repair/restoration parts needed, ordered stencils. I'll probably tackle refinishing the cab first while it's nice out. If I need to put everything on hold until the winter, the hardtop and electronics can be done inside.

Looked at STTNG to resolve the upper subway diverter not working as well as the left gun fire. As I was putting things back after fixing the diverter issue the GI went out and all coils locked on. A bit of troubleshooting let me discover that every coil and every flasher is locked on. With the coil fuses out the game goes in attract mode ok. Could be related to the Rottendog aux driver board I just installed.

Fuck it. I’ll deal with the bullshit another day. Sledge hammer to the game would feel so good.

We've all been there... Makes it all the more sweet when you figure out and fix the problem. Grab a beer, sleep on it and come back in a day or two.

I changed a CR2032 battery that was keeping the settings on a pc, thus preventing the game from booting.

Easy you say? Sure. Except if it is only accessible from the back… of that right Need for speed:

Bring the kids at MontVR (a VR center). After our session, we stopped by the arcade and pass more than a hour playing various vids ($$$). They got a Rush pinball. It was dirty and already got some playfield wears... surprise for a 2022 pins... guess it's a good thing, pin was played a lot. Flippers seem to stick sometimes. Anyway not a bad design.. nothing new but got all the regular shot.
