Server upgraded to latest version

Hey all, was tired of paying a legacy fee on the hosting in order to support php 7 (PHP Extended Support as they call it)

So I've just upgraded the website to the latest version and we are now running on php 8.1 as well, about time

With these updates comes the bugs so if you see something that is not working anymore please let me know in this thread.

I have NOT tested intensively so there might be some new quirks and features !

Well slow speed seems to be coming from bots hammering as usual.

I see 2 in particular: bytesspider and facebookexternalhit.

Ok banned some bad bots in the htaccess, seems fine so far.

That being said, the theme is out of date, I have the updated version that goes with this phpBB version BUT haven't had the time to install it yet because I have custom code to port into it first.

Should be able to do it soon so we'll see if this fixes it for you.

Works on Brave but haven't tested on Edge.

Updating the theme will probably fix it, will try to do it soon.

1) Normally I would get a message in my Inbox.
2) The recent donor amount did not update.
3) The grand total did not update.
4) The expiry did not update.

No rush, just reporting bugs.

Yeah there was a MySQL related error so the loop did not close properly.

I’m in contact with the creator, will hopefully be able to fix it in the next few days.

Alright, I think I've fixed the donation extension.

Did a manual donation entry on your behalf in order to test it so your total is 25$ higher

I see the grand total right now, recent donor is there and the expiry date seems fine.

Not sure if you did get a PM or email but maybe not since I did it myself manually using an option in the backend.

We'll know for sure next time someone send one

[EDIT] I just tried to visit the Donors page and it still is messed up for me. Image is still loading HUGE. I tried F5/Refresh. Ended up with this error:

OK nevermind, I tried with a standard member account and you are right about the page being out of whack.

With my account it's working fine, maybe because I am an admin.

Well, found the issue, you should see the page just fine now.

Question: before the update, were you seing the donation expiry time for everyone or not ?

Because the bug was in a PHP file, didn't make sense how it was coded, good thing I am a programmer myself lol

There is a condition that decides if the expiry times are shown or not and it was set to either admins or "current user" which was the part that was not working so I removed it.

I have 2 choices now, to leave it as-is and normal users wont see expiry times or to always show them. I don' really care, which do you prefer ?
