Multimorphic deal

Post by mrmikeman »

MM currently has a deal where if you get referred by a P3 owner, both the new buyer and the person referring get 1000$ rebate. The new buyer also gets 10% any additional modules they buy at the same time (instead of the usual 5%).

There are a few MM P3 owners on this forum so not trying to "steal" prospective new buyers. Go with any P3 owner if you want a rebate! The rebate program has no current end date but can be terminated at any time.

Cheers

I have them all except one. I’d recommend trying before you buy tbh. It really depends on what you like for gameplay/theme. Although the bottom 2/3 of the game doesn’t physically change, all modules somehow make the machine feel completely different. Even just changing software games makes an unexpected difference in feel, mostly because you are shooting for different things/sequences. The P3 also has always offered save points/restore, as well as player profile based settings. This means you can sign into your profile and have profile specific settings in play. This also means you can make profiles for your kids, spouse, whatever, with settings set easier for them. It’s like Insider Connect on steroids but without the achievement tracking. What Stern are marketing as genius has been a feature of the P3 since it’s release 7 years ago.

- Weird Al. Crazy deep. Funny. Cool mechs.
- Princess Bride. Masterclass in theme integration. Crazy deep as well. If you like the movie it’s a no-brainer.
- Final Resistance. Fast. Brutal. Feels like TNA on steroids. Best soundtrack.
- Lexy Lightspeed. No longer own it. Fun/humorous. WPC feel with rules. A bit dated in graphic quality. MM’s first release (2018).
- Cosmic Cart Racing. Offers play against other players either via LAN or online. Meh. Not really pinball. However getting the software games for this module makes it totally worthwhile. Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a complete pinball game. Module with biggest selection of games.
- Heist! WPC feel. Scenario is set in the 90’s so super familiar and funny. My fave for “feel”. Great rules. The crane mech is amazing. Final wizard mode has a 15-ball MB lol.
- Cannon Lagoon. Not really a pinball game. More of a redemption thing. Add-ons are fun. Most basic and least expensive module. My favourite game on this is the pitch-and-bat.
- Drained. 3rd party module that has the old-school EM feel. Has a gobble hole, bell, knocker. Not for everyone but great layout and lots of fun if it’s your kind of play.

Apollo 11 has competition

Thanks for the quick review of each modules.

Do you consider it a pain to switch them or are you just rotating them over months ?

I don't switch the artwork. In a lineup you don't really see it anyway. So changing a module takes about 1-2 minutes. It's not a big deal at all. Some modules are quite heavy like Weird Al. It's a little high to lift over the side of the game. I thought I'd need a stool but I've been doing it without it for 3 years now. It's not a big deal, just intimidating at first. Honestly it takes as long to remove and re-install the glass as it does swapping the module.

That being said I don't swap often. My wife hates when the P3 is anything other than Weird Al. That's what I bought the game as and in her mind it should never be anything else. So when/if I swap it's usually for about a week. Last week I put Princess Bride back in because someone is coming over to play it on Saturday. Once next weekend is done I'll likely put Final Resistance for a day or so and then back to Weird Al.
